New BCREA website launched to assist REALTORS and the public in opposing the HST
The BC Real Estate Association launched a new website on Monday, August 24 to provide REALTORS and members of the public (e. g. clients) with a convenient way to send a letter directly to the BC government to express their opposition to the proposed Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).

As of Wednesday, August 26, over 600 letters had already been sent. On the website, you can indicate if you are a REALTOR or a client and choose to send letters to your local MLA, the Premier, the Finance Minister, the Leader of the Official Opposition or all of the above. You'll also find information about the tax, including the answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) and links to media coverage.
The Board of Directors of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board encourages all members to participate in the HST letter writing campaign and to encourage their clients to participate as well.
